Sony Xperia ZR Water Resistant Specs Announced Video

Sony Xperia ZR is the new model announced by Sony, riding the waves of success of its flagship device Sony Xperia Z it seems Sony wants the make the most of it.

We have recently seen Samsung launching various versions of its popular Samsung Galaxy S4 series especially its water resistant device named as Samsung Galaxy Active. Now that Sony has announced its rugged phone the water resistant rugged phone niche is heating up.

Although there has been no launch date or price details released, but Sony has officially announced the specifications of Sony Xperia ZR. It will be running on 1.5 GHz Quad core processor with 2 GB RAM and 13 megapixel back shooter having HDR mode for both video and picture mode.  The hallmark of this device is its IP55 and IP58 certification which will make it waterproof up to 1.5 meters of 5 feet. The screen size on this device is 4.55 inches TFT at 1280x720 pixels.

Sony Xperia ZR will come with 8GB onboard storage and microSD card expansion slot (up to 32 GB)
